First Week of School Newsletter

Parents and Guardians,
What a great first (half) week of school. I have loved getting to know your child thus far. I can tell they are eager to learn and excited for this year, as am I.

If you would like to donate snacks, they would be greatly appreciated. I would like to only have ‘snack time’ if there are enough snacks for everyone. The school prefers that the students eat healthy snacks: pretzels, fruit, or crackers. The less sugar the better.

If you signed the photo release form with the school, that is what I am using for my website. Please notify me if you would not like your child’s picture on the website. I will be posting pictures of science experiments, math/reading stations, etc. Please feel free to contact me via phone/email.

If you haven’t already and would like to download the Class DOJO app on your phone or ipad, please do. You will be able to see your child’s behavior throughout the day. You can track when they gain or lose points. It also tells you what they gaining/losing points for. The app has a messaging system on it. You can message me before or after school if I am away from my computer. I highly recommend it. The school also posts the weekly meals and important dates as well.

Important dates coming up:
Kaleb Kropoff’s birthday is September 2nd.
Labor Day is September 5th (As far as I know, we still have school)
Open House will be on September 8th from 5-6. J

Overall, the past three days have been great. I hope your child thinks so as well. Please let me know if you have any thoughts or concerns. I am looking forward to a great year.

Sincerely,

Miss Durrance
